SUSAN OATES - A Brief Biography

USAN Oates was born on the north shore of Long Island.

As a child, Susan was surrounded by grand aunts and uncles and was taught about old and interesting things when very young. She later found herself cleaning out many family residences.

In 1980, Susan learned to professionally pack and move furniture and mastered the moving business.

1986 saw the formation of 'Susan Oates Antiques'. Susan travelled to England and France to purchase antiques, and followed the antique show circuit in the United States. She participated in group antique retail outlets in New York and Massachusetts.

Susan studied art in England and France and attended C.W. Post Art and Appraisal Program. After spending some years focusing entirely on Antiques, she received many offers to conduct residential house sales and thus expanded her business to become 'Susan Oates Antiques and Tag Sale Services'.

Susan has a large library for her research of Antiques and Fine Furnishings. She has developed a private client list for collectors, decorators and the general public.

Her business has given her the opportunity to conduct sales for clients on Long Island, throughout the Tri-State area and New England. With her background, she is well placed to assist families and executors settle estates in the United States, England and throughout Europe as necessary. Her knowledge of the complexities of international shipping and moving enable her to assist with coordinated shipping for estate heirs.

Susan concentrates on tailoring her service to meet each client's individual needs.
